IJC Hebrew School Newsletter
Next Session: Saturday, May 6
The next session of Hebrew School is this coming Saturday, May 6. Originally all the classes were going to discuss the Shoah in various ways. However after a conversation between the Rabbi, teachers and parents, it was decided that only the Bar Mitzvah class would be talking about this topic. The poem below was going to be a source of conversation -- if you would like to share it with your children, please do.
A reminder that our HS Outing at Adventure Park will take place after HS this Saturday. Don't forget to wear sturdy shoes and bring a picnic lunch, as we will eat before heading over to Wavre. If you have not already RSVP'd or need a ride, please email Pam at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It was also decided that our last session for HS this year will be Saturday May 20, and that a picnic lunch and discussion with the Rabbi would follow classes.
Finally -- you may remember that the kids were planning to do a tzedakah project as part of their school work this year. We have not been great about giving/collecting for this, so the Rabbi is asking if everyone could give 20 euros (or whatever you are comfortable with) this week, there will then be money available to distribute to charities.
The last few weeks of snack families are as follows:
May 6 Andy
May 13 David
May 20 Pam
The last, the very last,
Such, such a yellow
For seven weeks I've lived in here,
That butterfly was the last one.
