IJC is delighted to welcome Rabbi Lee Moore as guest Rabbi the weekend of November 23-24. Known for her inspiring prayer services, Rabbi Moore will be incorporating beautiful music and grounded spirituality into the Shabbat service. Highlights will include Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat in Leuven with song and guitar followed by a potluck dinner; a special Torah breakfast on 'Kabbalah for Everyday Living'; and an engaging, participatory Torah service.
Rabbi Moore will delve deeply into the themes of Parshat Vayishlach, in which Jacob confronts a mysterious figure, wrestling him through the night and obtaining a blessing. Everyone is invited to join us for Shabbat lunch sponsored by the IJC board following services.
Rabbi Moore was ordained by Boston's Hebrew College, a pluralistic rabbinical school. Her musical album, "Rava d'Ravin," features Hebrew and English chants. Rabbi Moore was the Interim Director of Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality, a Jewish Renewal retreat center. Most recently, she served as the Director of Jewish and Organizational Learning at the Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah and as the spiritual leader for Hillel at Kent State University, Ohio.
The IJC Shabbat with Rabbi Moore as guest rabbi promises to bring spirited song and new vitality while engaging Judaism's ancient traditions. We hope to see you there.
