Dear IJC Families, Friends and Prospective Members,
Now is the time to register your child/children for the IJC Hebrew School 2018-2019 (5779).
We are very excited about the upcoming year at the IJC Hebrew School.
The IJC is Belgium's only English speaking Progressive Jewish community. The Hebrew School, now in its 15th year, is a place where our children learn about Judaism, as well as Jewish culture and values in a comfortable, welcoming and appealing environment. The Hebrew language is taught in preparation for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Classes are from 10:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays during the academic year.
The Hebrew School currently has classes for babies to children preparing for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The IJC Tot Shabbat aims to be a playful, hands-on early Jewish learning program for tots and their families. We will sing, play, cook, and laugh our way through 10 themes (8 holidays or 2 Torah stories). Each session has a corresponding value, and a families will receive a take home page with ideas for continuing learning and age-appropriate ways to talk with your children about the Jewish values we explore. Tot Shabbat is a space for parents (and grandparents) to learn with their children. Parents who would like to volunteer to help lead a session, or can come make a musical cameo, are welcome to contact Talia Stough (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We are also looking for teens and volunteers interested in helping with any age group in the Hebrew School.

The IJC Hebrew School team looks forward to welcoming you for our first welcome session September 1, 2018 at 10 am.
